SŌMA is in Singapore Airlines' SilverKris guide to Bali: notes for travellers from Singapore
Updated: Sep 29

By Dr Shirley Yuliana Kwee, MBChB (Glasgow), GDFM (NUS), Executive Medical Director · Updated 23 September 2026
SilverKris, the travel guide of Singapore Airlines, the world's best airline in 2026 according to SkyTrax, added SŌMA to its Bali things-to-do section on 31 August 2026. The entry describes us as a doctor-led specialist clinic focused on anti-ageing, longevity medicine, and health optimisation, led by Dr Shirley Yuliana Kwee, MBChB, GDFM (NUS), and lists our RECHARGE, RESET, OPTIMIZE, REJUVENATE, RADIANCE, and FUTURE-PROOF programmes.
What SilverKris is, and what it says about us
SilverKris is the airline's magazine and online guide. Its destination guides are read by people planning trips across the Singapore Airlines network, so a mention in the Bali guide is a useful signal if you're deciding where to have a treatment while you're here.
The SŌMA entry describes a clinic that "focuses on anti-ageing, longevity medicine and health optimisation, helping clients better understand their current health and identify areas to support their wellbeing over time". It picks up on the idea of healthspan (the years you spend in good physical and mental health, as opposed to years alive), the assessments we use (body composition, skin and hair health, physical strength, metabolic markers, DNA testing), the six programmes, and Dr Shirley's twenty-plus years of practice in the UK and Singapore.
Why Singaporeans fly to Uluwatu for treatments
Singapore has one of the most sophisticated aesthetic-medicine markets anywhere, and one of the most expensive. The flight to Bali is two hours and forty minutes. For a growing number of people, that maths works, for a few reasons.
The products are the same. We use the same manufacturer products you'd find in a Singapore clinic, so Allergan Botox, Juvéderm, Profhilo, Sculptra, Radiesse and Cynosure Lutronic's XERF, and every treatment is performed by a licensed doctor rather than delegated.
The medical direction is Singapore-trained. Dr Shirley Yuliana Kwee practised in the UK and Singapore for more than twenty years and is a member of the Singapore Society of Aesthetic Medicine and the Singapore Medical Association. Our protocols meet that standard.
And the prices are public. Everything is on our pricing page in rupiah with Singapore-dollar equivalents, and we quote your total including 11% tax in writing before you commit. If you want the longer version, including who this doesn't make sense for, we wrote it here: Medical tourism from Singapore to Bali.

Fitting a treatment into a short trip
Message us before you fly. Send the treatments you're considering and the days you'll be in Bali on WhatsApp, and we'll confirm a slot and the total price in writing. Same-day appointments are possible most days; we're open 9 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.
Expect consultation and treatment in one visit. You see a doctor first, and for most treatments you can be treated straight after.
Plan around the sun, the surf and the flight, not the treatment. Anti-wrinkle injections, skin boosters, IV therapy, facials and XERF have no downtime. If something you're having needs a gap before swimming, sun, or flying, the doctor will tell you at the consultation.
If you're here for two days or more, look at a programme. The Weekend RESET and RECHARGE bundle packs IV therapy, diagnostics, and recovery treatments into a short stay; FUTURE-PROOF is the full longevity assessment for people who want a baseline and a plan.
Finding us
We're on Jalan Pantai Padang-Padang in Pecatu, on the Bukit peninsula at the southern tip of Bali, five minutes from Padang Padang beach and about 45 to 60 minutes from Ngurah Rai airport depending on traffic.
Open daily 9 am to 8 pm, with free parking. Mobile IV therapy covers Uluwatu, Pecatu, Bingin, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua.
You can find the map and contact details on our contact page.
Questions Singapore travellers ask us
Is SŌMA affiliated with Singapore Airlines or KrisFlyer?
No. SilverKris is Singapore Airlines' travel guide, and its editors chose to include SŌMA in the Bali things-to-do section. We don't earn or redeem KrisFlyer miles.
How long is the flight from Singapore to Bali, and how far is SŌMA from the airport?
About 2 hours 40 minutes non-stop from Changi to Denpasar. From the airport, we're roughly 45 to 60 minutes by car, depending on the traffic through Jimbaran.
Can I have a treatment and fly home the same day?
For most treatments, yes. Anti-wrinkle injections, skin boosters, IV drips, facials, laser hair removal and XERF won't stop you flying. If a specific treatment needs a longer gap before a flight, sun or surf, your doctor will say so at the consultation.
Do I need to book before I arrive?
Not strictly, and same-day appointments are available most days. For a short trip, though, message us on WhatsApp a few days ahead with the treatments you want and a rough two-hour window. We'll confirm in writing, with the total price including 11% tax.
Are prices really lower than in Singapore?
For the same manufacturer products, yes. Our prices are published in rupiah with Singapore-dollar equivalents; Allergan Botox, for example, is IDR 100,000 per unit, about S$7, before 11% tax. Add flights and accommodation to your own plan and see whether it works. For annual maintenance, it usually does.
